I love a monochromatic outfit. There’s something about dressing in one color—or keeping everything neutral—that always feels simple, classic, and pulled together.

But sometimes it needs just a little something. That’s when I turn to my jewelry—Add Your Color with Jewelry

One of my favorite styling tricks is to keep my clothing simple and add a pop of color through a beautiful stone necklace. Lately, I’ve been reaching for my Amazonite Necklace.

The soft blue-green tones add just enough color without taking over the outfit. I especially love amazonite because its mix of blues, greens, creams, and natural variations makes it surprisingly easy to wear—sometimes that little bit of color is all an outfit needs.

Layer Color with Your Everyday Gold

And you don't need lots of necklaces to create a great layered look—Sometimes two really good pieces are all you need.

Don't Forget Your Bracelet Stack

You can use the same idea on your wrist. If you love an all-gold bracelet stack, try adding one colorful beaded bracelet.

I love adding my Amazonite Bracelet alongside my gold bracelets. That little touch of blue-green breaks up the gold and gives the entire stack a fresh look without losing the classic feel I love.

It's also such an easy way to experiment with color if you normally stick to gold jewelry.

What If I Want to Wear All Gold?

I have a little tip for that, too. 😉

If I'm wearing a monochromatic outfit and want to keep all of my jewelry gold, I'll add interest somewhere else. One of my favorites? An animal-print belt.

I think of animal print almost as a neutral. It adds pattern and personality to a simple outfit without competing with my jewelry. Then I can wear all the gold I want!

The next time you're wearing an all-white, all-black, navy, cream, or another monochromatic outfit, take a look in the mirror before adding another layer of clothing. Try adding a little color with your jewelry instead.

Sometimes the best jewelry stories happen when you least expect them.

Recently, I was out running errands when I ran into a couple of customers. I happened to be wearing my Fish & Pearl Necklace, and almost immediately one of them said, “I love your necklace!” Of course, I thanked her and told her it was available on my website. Her response? “I have to have that necklace.”

And apparently, she really did—because she bought the one I was wearing right off my neck! 😂 But the story gets even better.

While we were still standing there talking, her friend pulled out her phone, went to my website, and ordered one for herself. Honestly, I've had customers buy jewelry I'm wearing before, but it still surprises me every time. And I have to admit, it's also just so much fun.

Why I'm Loving Fish Jewelry Right Now

Fish charms and pendants are definitely having a moment, but there's something about them that still feels timeless.
