The Fish & Pearl Necklace

Sometimes the best jewelry stories happen when you least expect them.

Recently, I was out running errands when I ran into a couple of customers. I happened to be wearing my Fish & Pearl Necklace, and almost immediately one of them said, “I love your necklace!” Of course, I thanked her and told her it was available on my website. Her response? “I have to have that necklace.”

And apparently, she really did—because she bought the one I was wearing right off my neck! 😂 But the story gets even better.

While we were still standing there talking, her friend pulled out her phone, went to my website, and ordered one for herself. Honestly, I've had customers buy jewelry I'm wearing before, but it still surprises me every time. And I have to admit, it's also just so much fun.

Why I'm Loving Fish Jewelry Right Now

Fish charms and pendants are definitely having a moment, but there's something about them that still feels timeless.

Maybe it's because the fish has been used as a symbol for centuries, representing abundance, resilience, good fortune, and the freedom to follow your own path.

I love the symbolism, but I also simply love the look.

My Fish & Pearl Necklace combines a detailed fish charm with a freshwater pearl, giving it that wonderful mix of playful and classic. It's a little unexpected without being too trendy, and it's incredibly easy to wear.

I've worn mine with everything from a simple T-shirt to a dressier outfit—and as you now know, apparently I can't wear it out running errands without someone wanting it. 😉

Jewelry Is Personal

One of my favorite parts of being a jewelry designer is seeing which pieces women are drawn to. Sometimes it's the meaning behind a piece. Sometimes it's the way it looks. And sometimes you see something on another woman and immediately think: “I have to have that.” I completely understand.

I've always believed the best jewelry isn't the jewelry that sits in your jewelry box waiting for a special occasion. It's the jewelry you actually wear. It's the necklace you throw on before heading out the door. The bracelet that becomes part of your everyday stack. The earrings you don't even have to think about.

And every once in a while, apparently it's the necklace someone buys right off your neck.
