Tibetan Prayer Box
- Prayer box is a white metal pendant inlaid with a coral
- The back of each pendant opens up like a pill box
- 50mm long and 31mm wide
- Double sterling silver chain is 18 inches in length
Traditionally, Tibetans use the prayer box as a portable shrine where prayers and sacred relics are kept, thus, having their prayers close to their heart. More recently, and outside of Tibet, "prayer box" pendants are often worn as jewelry or personal adornment. A prayer can be placed in the box or prayers can be said over the box when needed. I do this because I feel like my prayers are always changing.
